Citizen Dog

Mark O'Hare is a two time Emmy Award-winning American director, story artist and cartoonist, and creator of the newspaper comic strip Citizen Dog. 

 

Mark contributed his work as a writer and story artist to Rocko's Modern Life, SpongeBob SquarePants, Dexter's Laboratory and The Powerpuff Girls. He was Creative Director and Supervising Producer on the Cartoon Network series Camp Lazlo. 

 

In feature animation, he was the Head of Story on Illumination Entertainment's Dr. Seuss' The Grinch. He worked with Illumination Entertainment on Despicable Me, Dr. Seuss' The Lorax, Despicable Me 2, Minions and Minions 2. He was most recently Head of Story for Paramount Pictures Sponge On the Run, and is currently Head of Story for the fourth film of the franchise to be released in 2025.
